The Moment I Realized I Was Old

Theres really something about growing up. For me the moment I sort of realized I was no longer a kid was when I started buying cereal, not based on the amount of marshmallows or frostedness, but when I started looking at the fiber content at the main selling point :)

What was it for you (or what do you think it will be) that made you realize you were no longer a kid?

For me it was worrying about legal obligations and having my signature on my first lease agreement back in 2008. That made me feel all grown up… and scared.

Although these days I’m signing lease agreements like a boss. Moved three times since then!

I find their impact on the internet rather amusing, and while Im far from the levels of devotion shown by other viewers, i am able to derive amusement watching it now and then

I think my moment was when I started hearing about stuff that happened in the nineties and thinking “Hey that wasn’t so long ago”, and then subsequently realizing that it was twenty years ago.

I remember worrying about money and diet ever since I was really little, but I refuse to grow up, so I guess I’m caught somewhere in between. :/

I moved cross-country with my fiancée, and had a kid less than six months later, and I was still nineteen. Wow, I just realized how messed up that sounds.

I finally, totally grew up when I had my first kid. Sure I’m still silly and do fun (read: childish) things, but having to make sure a little person is safe and loved makes you need to be an adult.

Also, no cereal for me, I can’t drink milk :P

Perhaps a substitute for the milk? Cereal is the shiznitz.

I realized I grew up when… Actually I still haven’t grown up yet.
I read this comment while eating frosted mini wheats. Which is the cereal you’re eating in this comic strip, which I find extremely creepy. And awesome.

I’ll know I’ve grown up when I realize there’s a correlation between going to bed at 2AM after staying up playing video games all night and feeling lik at 7 the next morning. So, no time soon, really! Gonna be 21 in 3 days.
