Cotton Candy Fields (part 1)

I announced to my Facebook pals about yesterday about something special I was planning on doing and this is the beginning of it! For the next few updates I’m planning on illustrating a beautiful adaptation of a poem that was created for me by the wonderful poet Jeanne Walker.

I’ll really try to push myself artistically with this short series, I hope you guys enjoy it!

    What a cliff hanger! Can’t wait to see the whole poem illustrated! Maybe we should make a book! Seriously though as the author of the poem I am deeply moved you chose one of my poems for your sight. I would be happy to sign any you choose to sell. Thanks again. Jeanne Walker

    Seriously, you should be illustrating kids books or something. These kinds of pages from you always inspire me to go outside and have adventures and whatnot!

    I know its a big ask not being a Clubhouse member but I don’t suppose you could turn this into a wallpaper please!? I’d even donate a dollar or something for it. It is really very beautiful. Oh I hope you print the poem series you’re planning. Just one last thing, “If you like Pajama Forest, you can totally check out Evan’s other webcomic,” where you have that quote I couldn’t find a link to anything but Pajama Forest.

        heh, I’ll see if I can make more wallpapers available to non-club housers, a pay-whatever-you-want thing wouldn’t be a bad idea :)

        also, the links to the other comic are just not finished yet, but yes, kinda silly as it is now ;)

      though it is a little saddening that someone can blow through in less than a day something that took me years to create…ah well, I just gotta make more!

    You know, I really like this! Composition wise it is completely sound. The one issue I’m having is with the nose. I feel that your art may be a bit better without the noses. Other than that, it’s great!

      Thanks, yeah I do go back and forth on the nose thing. It was bugging me in this one so I fixed it :)

    umm i like this as a wallpaper and im not a member….
    i would LOVE to be… but my sis wont lemme use her paypal.. o.o;
    i just thought….
    if i was to “view image” in the menu and possibly resize it….
    that i would magically use this as a wallpaper without issue ._.
    and i wouldnt have to become a member….
    i still wanna be a member;
    especially with all these alternate endings -.-

    wait, so why would you mess up a nice background and a pretty poem with some obnoxious cartoon character? does something seem not right to anyone else here….no? i mean….
